Caroline Macumber, MS, PMP, FAMIA, has joined Clinical Architecture as the Executive Vice President of Professional Services. To address this evolution, Clinical Architecture launched a professional services division in 2019. Ms. Macumber joins the executive management team and will be directly responsible for leading and evolving the Professional Services team.

“We have assembled an incredible group of individuals with deep experience when it comes to healthcare data quality, and we have great clients who are working hard to unlock the potential of their patient information,” said Charlie Harp, CEO Clinical Architecture. “I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with Carol through our relationship with the remarkable team at Apelon. Her experience, knowledge and boundless energy will not only improve our delivery of professional services, it will further our mission of delivering innovative solutions that maximize the effectiveness of healthcare.”

Ms. Macumber brings a wealth of technical, informatics, and consulting experience gained through her 15+ years in the industry. She has provided expertise to clients as diverse as the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the National Center for Health Statistics, the National Committee for Quality Assurance, Cerner, and Canadian Health Infoway. She uses this unique combination of engineering, informatics, and project management skills to help clients achieve high-quality terminology implementations and successful interoperability initiatives. In addition, she serves in industry leadership roles such as the Affiliate Forum representative to the IHTSDO Technical Committee, Vice-chair of the HL7 Terminology Authority, and Co-Chair of the HL7 Vocabulary Working Group.

Prior to joining Clinical Architecture, Ms. Macumber was Vice President at Apelon, where she led technology and operations and formed Apelon’s PMO.
