Carol Macumber to lead Clinical Architecture’s Professional Services division.
Caroline Macumber, MS, PMP, FAMIA, has joined Clinical Architecture as the Executive Vice President of Professional Services. Over the last decade, Clinical Architecture has established itself as a leading provider of healthcare data quality software and services. The efficacy of healthcare technology demands accurate and complete information, which requires human resources with the knowledge and training specifically tailored to deliver quality. To address this evolution, Clinical Architecture launched a professional services division in 2019. Ms. Macumber joins the executive management team and will be directly responsible for leading and evolving the Professional Services team.
Ms. Macumber brings a wealth of technical, informatics, and consulting experience gained through her 15+ years in the industry. She has provided expertise to clients as diverse as the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the National Center for Health Statistics, the National Committee for Quality Assurance, Cerner, and Canadian Health Infoway. She uses this unique combination of engineering, informatics, and project management skills to help clients achieve high-quality terminology implementations and successful interoperability initiatives. In addition, she serves in industry leadership roles such as the Affiliate Forum representative to the IHTSDO Technical Committee, Vice-chair of the HL7 Terminology Authority, and Co-Chair of the HL7 Vocabulary Working Group.
Prior to joining Clinical Architecture, Ms. Macumber was Vice President at Apelon, where she led technology and operations and formed Apelon’s PMO. She was previously a Senior Business Consultant at MetLife, where she led enterprise-level technology enhancement engagements. Carol holds a Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering, a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, and is a Fellow of the American Medical Informatics Association (FAMIA).
