Shakib is a Doctor of Philosophy Candidate in Biomedical Informatics at the University of Utah. He has over a decade of experience and formal training in laboratory science, public health, and biomedical informatics. His areas of interest and technical expertise include knowledge engineering, clinical terminology, vocabulary server design and implementation, and health information exchange.
