Health Care Tech Firm Adding High-Wage Jobs at Hamilton County HQ

November 2, 2017

CARMEL, Ind. (Nov. 2, 2017)– Clinical Architecture, a software development company focusing on health care terminology management solutions, announced today that it is expanding its headquarters in Carmel, with plans to create 40 new, high-wage jobs by 2021.

“Indiana’s economic momentum continues to push forward as businesses like Clinical Architecture look to Hoosiers to support their growth,” said Elaine Bedel, president of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation. “Our state’s business-friendly environment and skilled workforce have created a winning solution for Clinical Architecture, and we are thrilled to be a partner as this homegrown-Hoosier company builds its future in Indiana.”

The homegrown Hoosier company is investing $4.2 million to lease, renovate and equip its new 23,500-square-foot office in the Meridian Mark I building along Carmel’s Meridian Street corridor. In March, the company moved from its 9,400-square-foot space on the building’s fourth floor to the entire fifth floor, more than doubling its office space. The new work environment fosters collaboration and innovation for the company’s growing team, which develops software to help improve the quality and usability of clinical information with the aim to impact care delivery, health care costs and overall patient outcomes.

Clinical Architecture currently employs 57 associates, including 52 at its headquarters in Indiana. The company is currently hiring software developers and clinical experts, as well as sales, marketing and product management professionals. These positions, on average, are expected to pay more than double the state average wage. Interested applicants may apply online atwww.www.sandelinongzi.com/careers.

“I have lived and worked on both the East and West Coasts before moving to Indiana in 1993,” said Charlie Harp, chief executive officer of Clinical Architecture. “What I’ve discovered over the last 25 years is that the business-friendly environment, cost of living and smart, dedicated, hardworking people make Indiana a great place to establish and grow a business.”

Founded in 2007, Clinical Architecture provides software solutions that allow hospitals, health systems, analytics vendors, payers, EHR providers and anyone using health care data the ability to simplify and leverage how they utilize clinical and administrative information. Through its Symedical®terminology management platform, Clinical Architecture comprehensively addresses industry gaps in information governance, interoperability, content acquisition, decision support and analytics. In addition to its headquarters in Indiana, the company also operates an international office in the United Kingdom.

The IEDC offered Clinical Architecture LLC up to $700,000 in conditional tax credits and up to $100,000 in training grants based on the company’s job creation plans. These incentives are performance based, meaning until Hoosiers are hired, the company is not eligible to claim incentives. The city of Carmel supports the project.

“We welcome this news and are excited to see our Meridian Corporate Corridor continue to be a magnet for new high-tech jobs in Carmel. This is why we spend so much time and money investing in our quality of life initiatives,” said Carmel Mayor Jim Brainard. “We know that this helps give Carmel an edge when it comes to attracting new private investments such as this expansion by Clinical Architecture. We look forward to watching them grow and succeed.”
